IIST admission based on JEE Main 2013

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology IIST admission now based JEE Main 2013

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology IIST conducted an entrance exam ISAT usually in the month of April. But presently the centre has announced that the admissions of Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology IIST will be based on the marks of JEE Main 2013.

Apart from IIST admission Students are to appear for the entrance exam JEE Main 2003 for admission to courses which include B.Tech in various branches.

IIST currently offers B.Tech programmes in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics and Physical Sciences.

The total number of seats for the undergraduate programmes in IIST is 156.

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) is India’s national institute for the study and development of space science, located at

  • Valiamala,
  • Nedumangad,
  • Thiruvananthapuram,
  • Kerala.

It was inaugurated on 14 September 2007 by G. Madhavan Nair, the then Chairman of ISRO. IIST is sponsored by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the Department of Space, Government of India. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, is the Chancellor of IIST.
